Cuba collaged objects
In Febuary 2016 I traveled in Cuba for a week. I spent most of my time in smaller towns along the southern coast. I collected shards from the street and rocky shores. When I returned I put together these mementos with a few teacups and painted objects from the studio. There was an honesty to my time there. I took away many thoughts about the freedoms we have and how people carry on amidst scarcity. I have also included a few photos. Scenes abound with magnificance alongside decay.
