Penland Week

A week at Penland School of Craft in August 2015 began full sheet abstract paintings. This focused studio time in an idyllic setting opened up what I was doing. Ideas deal with open and crowded space, manmade structure bisecting organic flow. In the center of the studio stood a large amalgamation of flowers, vases and textiles. My intent was to find more intimate moments within the entire set up.
